"Second to the News" (Detail)

The letter reads, "Dear Les, Congratulations! Your artwork entitled 'Second to the News*' has been selected for the Raleigh Fine Arts Society's 2013 North Carolina Artists Exhibition."

423 pieces were submitted.  72 were selected by juror and nationally known fine artist, Mr. Bill Dunlap.  If the upcoming reception and juror's lecture is anything like the past RFAS group exhibitions, it's gonna be an ear full and eye opener.
     
The exhibition runs March 10 -- May 2, 2013.  There is an opening reception, juror's lecture, and award ceremony beginning at 2p on Sunday March 10.

The show will be on display in the Betty Ray McCain Gallery located in the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts, 2 East Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.
